The Academy Awards, more popularly known as the Oscars, are awards for artistic and technical excellence in the film industry. The Academy Award for Best Actor is an award presented annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). It is given in honor of an actor who has delivered an outstanding performance in a leading role while working within the film industry. The award is traditionally presented by the previous year’s Best Actress winner.

Now getting back to the title of this article, does actors of certain zodiac more likely to get an Oscar? Let us have a look at the data from 1966 to 2019. I have taken complete data for the nomination but the winner is still to be announced so it is not accounted for in winning sum.

Most Nominations: (blue bars)– The most nominated actors belong to Leo, Capricorn, Taurus, and Aries from 1966 to 2019.

Leos has the most wins followed by Capricorns, Taurus, and Scorpio.

The ‘Winning ratio’ is simply the calculation of how many times a ‘Nomination’ was converted into a ‘Win’. Taurus and Virgo are highest at 0.27 followed by Scorpio and Leo.

Taurus, Leos, Capricorns, and Scorpios are the winners with most nominations, most wins, and amazing conversion ratios.

Why they do ? What they do.

Leos are dramatic, attention-grabbing, charismatic, and every other adjective that means people can’t stop talking about them. Their talent for captivating an audience is real.

Scorpios are intensely, famously private. If they had it their way, you might only ever see their work and not them.

Capricorn is the sign of prestige and fame, and while they tend to be shy (or at least introverted), they want their work to be the most talked-about of the season. Capricorn is the sign of hard work over time that leads to career-making heights.

The Taurus got gravitas and glamour for days, which translates through the screen as pure, bankable presence. It doesn’t matter how much they’re on camera; the impression they make tends to outlast generations. When the movie’s over, you’ll find yourself wondering, “Who was that?”

So this year’s nominations have given us 3 Scorpios, 1 Gemini, and 1 Big Leo. Will Leo take the centerstage again or will Scorpio with a better winning ratio will upstage Leo and take the limelight or Gemini will manage a miracle and thank Hermes.
