The world is full of hatred and selfishness. Seldom do we find sincere-hearted people around. But good deeds are still not less in the world. There are many things that we can do to show our gratitude to sincere and helpful people, and above all to the deity who gave us a name and identity in this world. With the beginning of November starts the preparation of Thanksgiving Day, followed by Christmas.

From times in memorial, different cultures and religions have celebrated their harvests with a Thanksgiving feast, but the version of the Pilgrim’s feast didn’t come about until the 1800s. It was during this time that roasted turkey became established in the traditional American Thanksgiving meal. Thanksgiving Day is celebrated in many countries with a little difference in traditions, history, rituals but the ultimate truth is that of Thanksgiving.

  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 12 Brussels sprouts, trimmed and thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

  • Step 1 Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over high heat until butter is melted and begins to brown, 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Step 2 Stir Brussels sprouts and lemon juice into butter and oil; cook, stirring constantly, until sprouts are just heated through and starting to soften, about 45 seconds. Remove from heat.
  • Step 3 Season with salt and pepper and serve.
